Add a client mileage destination drop down feature

When we had paper task sheets caregivers were required to list their miles claimed on the front of the task sheets and were also required to log their destinations on the back of the task sheets. This was a requirement so the office admin could see where the caregivers were going for their clients and how many miles they were claiming they went. This was the admins staff way to monitor how many miles we were traveling for the client, where we were going for the client, and also a preventative measure to ensure caregivers were being honest with their mileage claims. The paperless APP asks the caregivers to log in their client miles but does not require they add their destinations. A required drop-down feature for caregivers to add destinations of claimed mileage would be very beneficial for tracking purposes and ensuring miles claimed are essential travel and accurate.

Idea Background

Across the board in our region caregiver mileage claims have increased. We have no tracking system unless the caregiver adds their mileage destinations in the client comments. The caregivers are prompted to add client claimed miles as they are clocking out. An added destination drop down to this feature would be beneficial in many areas including monitoring client miles more closely, and monitoring caregiver mileage claims.

Idea Benefit

Since we went paperless this branch has lost control of monitoring client miles as the majority of our caregivers are claiming miles and not going back into the comment section to note where they went for the client and how many miles they traveled. There are a few that will, but the majority do not. A drop-down destination feature added to the miles claimed feature would be a tremendous benefit for the branches to monitor all aspects of the miles being claimed and hold caregivers more accountable to be accurate with miles they are claiming and not going to unauthorized destinations.
