BPCRM Referral Reports-Track Conversions to Correct Funding Source/Payor

Currently, referral reports are pulling funding source from referral entry screen, which is an optional field and may be incorrect if not updated prior to admission. In order to ensure revenue amounts can be tracked properly by payor/plan after conversion, can:

  • The funding source field automatically update upon admission with the correct payor/plan, or

  • Reports pull payor/plan information from PS admission instead of funding source in the referral.

Idea Background

Leaders can view reports based on funding category, but if they needed to drill down to determine specific funders, they would have to rely on their team to keep referrals properly updated before/after admission. For example, if a site has 4 VA payors, they could see which referrals are coming in for Government Other, but wouldn't have access to specific payor information if funding source isn't added by office.
